VP and Chief Sustainability Officer
Angela oversees all corporate responsibility and environmental, social, and corporate governance. This includes the company’s climate strategy and net-zero emissions by 2040 goal as well as several other ESG 2025 targets. She also manages all social impact programs, including Wireless Reach, a strategic initiative that brings wireless technology to under-served communities globally. Previously, she served as an advisor to Secretary Hillary Clinton in the Office of Innovation at the United States Department of State, where she worked on foreign policy goals connected to the 21st Century Statecraft agenda through bilateral and multilateral engagement with strategic partners on technology and development issues.

Bea has over 15 years of experience in the sustainability and ESG field. She’s had the privilege of working on sustainable development and corporate responsibility at the intersection of business, public policy and civil society In Europe for many years. Currently, she leads ESG reporting and regulatory compliance at Qualcomm. A native of Spain and having spent the majority of her childhood and adolescence in southeastern Turkey going to school in an American Air Force Base, Bea grew up as a third-culture kid. After studying her Masters in Brussels and living there for several years, she now resides in San Diego, California with her husband and two children. She enjoys family time, F1, traveling, good food and the beach.

KELSEY GREY
ESG Manager
Kelsey has responsibility for ESG strategy, governance, targets, reporting, compliance and stakeholder engagement. She and her team also have program-specific responsibility for human rights, climate change, conflict minerals, and supply chain. She was integral in setting Qualcomm’s SBTi net-zero target and in driving its adoption across the company. Her efforts have increased awareness with investors and policy makers, including Qualcomm’s positive ESG rating performance and in the integration of ESG into company governance and filings, from the Board to the 10-K and Proxy. Kelsey earned Bachelor of Environmental Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from San Diego State University.

JULIA STRAKA

Julia has over a decade of experience managing complex sustainability issues for companies around the globe. Julia’s work has primarily focused on corporate strategy and programs related to stakeholder engagement, human rights, social investment, responsible supply chain, and sustainability reporting. She started her career in the extractives industry, leading social performance and external affairs to secure social license to operate at assets in West Africa and South America. Julia is currently a Staff Analyst on the Corporate Responsibility team at Qualcomm, managing human rights and ESG-related regulatory compliance and serving on the Company’s Responsible AI Council. Julia holds a BA in Public Policy from Duke University and a MS in Commerce from the University of Virginia. Julia has worked in over a dozen countries across 5 continents and currently resides in Encinitas, CA with her husband, three sons, and a rescue dog named Happy.

QUALCOMM / RECURRENT ENERGY — Signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for Recurrent Energy to supply Qualcomm with 50 GWh of solar energy annually. Recurrent Energy will supply the energy from a solar PV project it is developing in Spain. (March 2025)

NEWSWEEK / STATISTA — Published its America’s Most Responsible Companies 2025 list, ranking 600 U.S. companies (out of the 2,000 largest publicly traded companies) on ESG performance. The analysis is based on 30 key performance indicators along with consumer reputation. Merck scored #1, with 97.83 points (out of 100). CEF members in the top 50 include: General Mills (#2), Applied Materials (#4), HP (#6), Mastercard (#7), Hewlett Packard Enterprise (#9), Ecolab (#12), Analog Devices (#13), Qualcomm (#29), Cisco Systems (#31), Visa (#33), CBRE (#35), Apple (#42), and General Motors (#50).
