Climate Risk is Business Risk – CEF Members discuss supply chain resilience through a climate lens

Wednesday, March 18, 12:00 noon – 12:55 PM ET (9:00 am PT)

Building on previous “Climate Risk is Business Risk” meetings, members will discuss approaches to integrating climate risk resilience into supply chain strategies. We’re excited to welcome CEF Member GE Healthcare to kick off this members-only exchange.

In this discussion we’ll cover questions including:

  • How is climate risk treated within supply chain management? Separately? Integrated? Aligned? What’s the ideal approach?
  • What are the main considerations when looking at your supply chain's resiliency through a climate risk lens?
  • Are there existing supply chain frameworks, metrics, or tools that take into account climate risk & resilience?
  • How do you address challenges such as lack of reliable data and supplier transparency?
  • How do you foster greater collaboration between supply chain strategy and climate risk assessments, to build more effective business risk management overall?

30,000-Foot View of the Carbon Accounting Landscape: CEF Members discuss what’s (really) going on and explore potential bridges

Thursday, April 2, 12:00 noon – 12:55 PM ET (9:00 am PT)

With existing standards under revision and new tools and approaches emerging, this meeting is an opportunity to step back and assess the “big picture” of carbon accounting today. The meeting will begin with a level-setting overview including accounting approaches, associated standards and initiatives, and inventory activities. From there, a peer-to-peer exchange will explore the bridges between us - areas of common understanding, alignments and potential opportunities.
