VP of EH&S and Chief Sustainability Officer
Dr. Mike Witt leads the company’s ESG programs across the business. These programs include enterprise-wide business strategies for carbon reduction, resource efficiency and materials management, helping to minimize the company’s environmental impact and advance environmental sustainability across the sectors. Mike brings decades of environmental, health, safety and sustainability expertise to rthrop Grumman. Most recently, he held a number of key leadership positions with Dow Inc., and led their strategy for carbon reduction, climate change and materials sustainability, and played a key leadership role in building a $1.5B cross value chain global initiative to end plastic waste in the environment. He also represented the chemical industry in negotiations with the United Nations on a new global plastics treaty. Mike holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Michigan State University, Masters of Business Administration from rthwood University and Bachelors of Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan.
Program Manager, Next Generation Environmental Sustainability Goals
Stanley is an experienced sustainability leader with a successful track record of product stewardship, partnership development, project management, and positioning business as a force for good. Stanley is passionate about sustainable value creation, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to help customers solve their unique problems while driving team-based organizational transformation. Stanley is currently responsible for the strategic development of the environmental sustainability and energy services program at Northrop Grumman. He joined the company in April 2020. Stanley has worked in and with numerous industry sectors including agriculture, automotive, chemical, electronics, and mining over his 20+ year career. Stanley’s professional credentials include an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University along with masters and doctoral degrees from Texas A&M University in Safety Engineering and Environmental Engineering.
Manager, Environmental Sustainability Goals & Metrics
As manager for Northrop Grumman’s Environmental Sustainability Goals & Metrics, Melissa oversees all daily activities related to the environmental goal performance, annual measurement of environmental footprint, and the environmental sustainability element of the company’s non-financial metric. She provides strategic leadership to the company’s greenhouse gas, solid waste and water programs and focuses on cross-functional collaboration to identify sustainability opportunities. Prior to this role, Melissa was the project lead for the water and solid waste programs and led corporate sustainability initiatives. Melissa joined Northrop Grumman in 2003 and led various business opportunities providing project management expertise. Melissa holds a B.B.A in International Business from George Washington University and a M.S. in Environmental Management from Johns Hopkins University.
Environmental & Sustainability Policy Lead
Lindsey works with external partners, including trade associations and key customers to engage on environmental policy-related issues and initiatives. In addition, Lindsey works cross-functionally within rthrop Grumman to support implementation of the company’s environmental and sustainability compliance strategy. Lindsey’s previous roles at NGC include leading corporate EHS compliance and management system audits and development of the company’s ESG disclosures. Prior to joining rthrop Grumman, she served as a consultant managing and executing projects for clients across a broad spectrum of environmental and sustainability topics. Lindsey holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology, a Masters Degree in Environmental Management and has over 15 years of experience working in the environmental compliance and sustainability field.
ESG Reporting Manager
Amanda manages rthrop Grumman's annual ESG report, as well as climate reporting and all other ESG-related disclosures and rater and ranker engagement. Amanda has over 10 years of experience in the corporate sustainability and sustainable development fields. Prior to joining rthrop Grumman in 2021, she worked in the ESG and sustainability consulting space for nearly five years, working with companies of all sizes and across industries on ESG reporting, disclosure, strategy, goal-setting and data collection. She also spent two years working on sustainable development in Nicaragua with the Peace Corps. Amanda has a Master’s in Environmental Management focused on Business and the Environment from Duke University, and is based in Washington, DC.

Announced new environmental sustainability goals, including to (April 2022):
Northrop Grumman signed a 15-year virtual power purchase agreement with Dominion Energy subsidiary Dominion Generation to enable the construction of a 62.5 MW solar facility in Orange County, Virginia. Once operational in 2022, the solar facility is expected to offset 100% of Northrop Grumman’s electricity use in Virginia across its manufacturing and office operations, and increase the company’s renewable energy sourcing to 10% globally.
